Packaging manufacturers, those I met at the recent PackExpo tradeshow, sell their packaging equipment and packaging products through distribution channels. The distributors, companies like Xpedx and Unisource, sell machinery and the commodities which the machinery consumes for many suppliers or manufacturers. In most selling cases the distributor carries several lines which can fill the need of the prospect. 

The leads generated at Pack Expo get sent to the distributors for follow-up. Lead distribution and lead follow up is a slow manual process. If this sales process can be automated, if wasted measured in time, can be slashed from this process, it is logical to expect income lift. More sales leads will be qualified to business opportunities and more business opportunities will be closed to revenue.
